favorite holiday!

last weekend for patrick and i celebrated our 6th year wedding anniversary with jack at henry ford village's halloween nights. they carve 800 jack-o-lanterns every week for 3 weeks. most of the pumpkins are really cool but some look like they were done in 2 minutes. seeing them reminds me of our pre-wedding pumpkin carving event when we carved 20 pumpkins for the reception tables.

jack enjoyed opening almost every pumpkin and peeking in. he was very concerned when he came across a pumpkin with no candy. competing with the jack-o-lanterns was the chocolate money he got in his bag. great time!

Jack continues to amaze us with his comprehension of his new world. Grandma and I were taking him home recently. We were going through the personnel door to put him in the car seat in the Mustang (we couldn't transport him in the one row seat Ranger). However he hadn't seen the Ranger's replacement, the new red Mercury Mariner. He was so close to this car (and he can hardly take it all in) and he raised his hand high to touch it and says "What's dhis" (Grandma always corrects my pronunciation because it's a poor example for Jack, oh well).

We had started to load him the Mustang and he says "I want to go in the that one !". So being the great grandparents we are !, we switch the seat over and him to the Mariner. He loves the 'new ride' experience to his house, what a charming grandson !, warm regards and love, grandpa Robichaud
