The supermajority of the carpentry was finished last night, with the crib ends assembled and glued into their final shape. What's left is a number of decorative pieces but once those are cut it will be time to put down the first coat of stain, likely on Easter.

This baby crib is being constructed in our basement where I have oberved the steady progress. I have been impressed with the commitment and compassion that my 2 sons have put into this project. The quality of craftmanship and carpentry execution are outstanding and demonstrate the deep love for this unborn person. The expanse of maple is appointed exquistely & sentimentally with the great grandfather Callahan's family treasured black walnut pyramid details.
